"Building Blocks" was one of my first abstract pieces I did early on when I first started painting. An exploration of shapes, lines, and the use of masking tape, this painting is among many that have been a part of my taste testing period.
Trying different styles, tools, and techniques is all a huge part of finding your way as an artist. It's a big part of accomplishing anything in any discipline really.
No matter what your calling is, you will still need to be ready to lay the building blocks of a foundation before you can ever build anything that lasts. Perhaps this painting can serve as a reminder for you to remember to forge your own building blocks
